What caught my attention was when one of the lobby group’s boys said that during their propaganda war against opposition, they managed to either convince or buy off some opposition leaders. However, the only one man whom they couldn’t convince otherwise was Raila Amolo Odinga. He stayed firm and focused just like he is today. Money was poured by Nyayo through the YK92 to silence the opposition and break the strong opposition, but they could not reach Raila. He refused to be compromised nor be bought into silence. This is the man Kenya needs.
By Hon J B : Just when I thought we’ve heard enough, another ex-YK92 cadre spilled the beans on their operations in the days running to 1992 multiparty elections.
Noteworthy is his revelations that they “purchased” all opposition figures except Hon. Raila Odinga whom he described as “elusive and incorruptible”.
His take on the late Wamalwa Kijana, former VP in Narc regime and Ford Kenya honcho whom he disclosed was on their payroll is rather shocking.
That Wamalwa accepted a house from government as a token to betray the opposition then, by leaking intelligence to Moi regime, has left me, and many gobsmacked.
With this new evidence, the question on why Agwambo ferociously wrestled Wamalwa in Ford Kenya, and even later abandoning him for LDP is effectively settled.
One trait of Raila Odinga I’ve come to learn over the years is his strong dislike for turncoats. He’ll discard you immediately you become one.
May be that’s why when he discovered that William Ruto had not discarded his YK92 traits, he was reluctant to defend him against ODM kitchen cabinet.
Perhaps we’re yet to heat more.
