Emuhaya MP Dr. Wilberforce Otichilo today shamed Budalangi MP Hon Ababu Namwamba by hosting CORD leader Raila Odinga. Namwamba had claimed that Otichillo was to dump ODM party for a Jubilee allied party yet to be formed by Ababu. Hon Otichillo’s move also leaves DP Ruto with a rotten york in the face following his sensational claim that ODM MPs from Luyhaland were to defect enmase to Jubilee.
Hon Otichillo defended the ODM Party in Western Kenya saying the party has nurtured many leaders from the region.
Hon Ottichilo was elected to parliament following a by-election in 2008 occasioned by the elevation the then area MP Hon Kenneth Marende to speaker of the National Assembly. He dismissed claims that ODM has not done much for western, saying the ODM Party has not fully been in government to implement its policies that would have transformed lives in the region.
Dr. Otichillo said ODM’s enduring legacy for Western Kenya region, and across the country, is delivering the devolution which today employs thousands of residents of western Kenya as well as ensures resource allocation, which runs in billions of shillings since devolution picked up in 2013.
On ODM, Dr. Ottichilo said the party is strong and those leaving should not confuse the silence of majority supporters as a covert support for their individual and selfish actions.
