So immediately after I was elected as the MCA Chinga Ward, I set out on reviving the stalled Changachicha Irrigation project in Chinga!!!!
I held meetings on the ground…
I pursued the County Government of Nyeri over the matter….
I sought the help of Hon Mukami Rahab Maendeleo Mashinani ; I sought the help of the then CS Agriculture and Irrigation Hon. Mwangi Kiunjuri … I even visited the CS’s office and discussed the matter with him ; I met the CS together with Hon Mukami… Officials from the Ministry called me and we discussed the project. Waziri Kiunjuri asked me how much I estimated was needed to complete the project and I told him ksh 250 Million!
He assured me the Ministry would allocate the money …..
Well as happens in this cruel World, the official function to launch this project was held today in Chinga Ward, the Ward I represent in the Nyeri County Assembly!
But no one deemed it necessary to me invite to this function that was held in my Ward of representation!!!
Neither was Hon Mukami nor Hon Kiunjuri!
But surely, in my own Ward????
Anyway I couldn’t try to disrupt the poorly attended function… I don’t believe in such politics…. As long as it helps the people of Chinga, it’s okay my efforts don’t have to count……
But let me remind the organisers of today’s function that; you reap what you sow!
