Mike Sonko’s INSULTS on Citizen TV worked, BEATS Peter Kenneth in Kameme FM Radio POLL

Sonko beats Peter Kenneth in radio poll hours after insulting him

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and his bitter rival for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat Peter Kenneth are still trending hours after Sonko called the latter “a thief”, “albino” and “chewing gum”.

This was during a Sunday, March 19 interview on Citizen TV where Sonko insulted Kenneth, his biggest threat within the Jubilee party.

Both are eyeing the Nairobi governor seat on the same ticket but Sonko cannot bring himself to the fact that Kenneth, a “new comer” who opposed Uhuru in 2013 for the presidency is now Jubilee’s latest blue eyed boy.

Although Sonko has apologised, this has not stopped the two from being a subject of discussion with even a poll being held to determine who between them is most popular and likely to win the Nairobi race.

According to an opinion poll by vernacular radio station Kameme FM, Sonko has so far gathered the support of 75% approval rating by the listeners while Kenneth has garnered the support of only 25% by the time of publishing this story.

The listeners were on Monday, March 20 asked to say who between the two deserve to be Nairobi governor and the die seem to be cast already.

This, despite strong condemnation by Kenyans online following Sonko’s dismal performance on TV.

The results could indicate that Sonko is likely to beat Peter Kenneth during the Jubilee nominations and go head to head with incumbent Evans Kidero. However, that remains to be seen.
