SONKO WINS OVER KIDERO IN GARBAGE COLLECTION
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero was on Wednesday 24 embarrassed after City Hall officers lied to him that “Sonko rescue Team” was dumping garbage in unapproved areas.
On Tuesday, 23 Kidero had ordered for the arrest of “Sonko rescue Team” crew for allegedly dumping garbage in unapproved areas instead of discarding collected waste in the Dandora dumpsite which is the only legal dumping site in the city.
However to his shock Kidero found out that the “Sonko rescue Team” was in fact dumping the collected waste at the Dandora dumping site after Senator Mike Sonko paid the required fee for dumping waste in Dandora.
On Monday and Tuesday, Sonko who is the favourite to clinch the Nairobi Governor’s seat dispatched his “Sonko rescue Team” to Eastleigh where the team cleaned up dozens of dumped garbage in Eastleigh streets which led to the Kidero order for their arrest.
