Opposition leader Musalia Mudavadi has expressed displeasure in President Uhuru after Labour Day announcement of a 5 percent increase in the minimum wage.
In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Hon Mudavadi stated that the increase was too little compared to the promise by Jubilee Government that the Kenya economy was thriving.
The ANC party leader directed his comments to President Kenyatta noting that the meagre increase was proof that the Government was not being truthful about the economic growth.
“You could have done better than 5% pay rise @uhurukenyatta bearing in mind there is too much hype from your govt about an economy that is doing well. Seems the opposite is true. #LabourDayCelebrations #KenyaWorkersPlight,” Mudavadi tweeted.
