How Phil Etale Rescued Citizen TV’s Francis Gachuri From Mob Unhappy With RMS Biased Reporting

By Phil Etale

Francis Gachuri My friend, I left the meeting room when I had the noise. Out of curiosity, and Hon. Members can attest to it, I told them I was gonna check out what was happening. I found you in a state of panic.

I struggled with your attackers and had you get into the tent where the meeting was going on. I went back to stop the youths from shouting and causing unnecessary tension. I shoved them away, came to where you were and even organised how we could take you to a more safer place. We took you into Hon. Kalonzo’s office for safety.

I went out talked to fellow journalists who told me to bring you to them. I picked up two of them Roncliffe Odit of KBC and Andrew Ochieng of NTV and came up with them to where you were. We walked out together to the rest of the journalists who were so agitated. I handed you to them safely and you all left. I went to brief my boss about the incident.

As a journalist, I was equally annoyed and everyone around including Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and Hon. Musalia Mudavadi noticed my anger.

Now, for the video taken showing me shoving the youths away to be twisted to show that I led people to attack you is unfortunate, annoying and regrettable. I was brought up well. I was raised up well. Fighting was never part of us in our family. My mother raised me up well. Please Gachuri, come out and tell the story as is unless you are part of the propaganda doing rounds and being spread by Dennis Itumbi Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen and others. Kindly.
