The vocal Laikipia Woman Representative caused a stir last week when he ditched deputy president William Ruto’s tanga tanga movement and rejoined Uhuru’s Handshake movement spearheaded by former premier Raila Odinga. She paid Raila a courtesy call at his Capital Hill offices where they discussed matters of national significance including uniting the country and the ongoing Building Bridges Initiative.

Well, the legislator is married to Nanyuki based lawyer, one Kiprotich William Kiget as reported by the Daily Nation on July 15, 2018. Despite her being a prominent public figure in politics, the identity of her husband has been scanty.
According to his Facebook profile, Kiget hails from Kericho County and is an advocate at the Nanyuki High Court.
He is an alumnus of Kabianga High School and studied law at the University of Mangalore, India.
Kiget is a former founder of One More Day for Children, a foundation that was established to advocate and cater to the needs of vulnerable, and needy children in the society.
In December 2017 Waruguru stunned Kenyans when she revealed that she was in a polygamous relationship as a second wife as reported by Nation Newspaper. This was after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed into law the Marriage Act 2014, which legalised polygamy.
“You saw the president signing into law the Marriage Act the other day. As women, we must refrain from being distracted by societal decisions,” she argued.
Though he is less known to the public, Kiget hit the media waves in May 2018, when he was sued by an accident victim for Ksh2.1 million as per media reports.
In July 2018, the Daily Nation reported that Waruguru and her husband, William, were turned away from a Kericho hotel for failure to produce a marriage certificate. Hon Waruguru had accompanied her husband to Kericho, to visit her in-laws.
Waruguru has been a staunch supporter of DP Ruto but made a u-turn and has given strong anti Ruto statements in she accuses him of plotting to undermine Uhuru in Mt Kenya region.
Meanwhile Moses Kuria caused a storm online when he claimed that Hon Wauruguru has been cheating on his husband with a certain a lawyer;
“This is why Waruguru is ranting. She got a baby early this year. Her Rift Valley lawyer ‘husband’ was convinced the baby was his. At some point he asked for a DNA test. The results proved that the baby was fathered by a business associate of the current Kirinyaga Governor. Lawyer took off. Sisi tunaingilia wapi jamaneni ?”– Moses Kuria
There are indications that Hon Kuria remarks were just dirty politics meant to assassinate Hon Waruguru’s character.
