Six Arrested as Violent Gang Terrorizing Kajiado Falls

Date:

Police have smashed a criminal gang that has been terrorizing missionary camps in Kajiado and nearby counties, arresting six suspects linked to brutal robberies and the killing of a watchman.

The gang’s latest attack happened on August 8, 2025, at the Korean Mission Camp (MCK) in Elerai, Mashuuru Sub-County. Dressed in stolen police uniforms, the thugs stormed the compound at night, beating staff and leaving a guard dead.

Investigations quickly traced the gang’s movements. On August 19, detectives nabbed Muoki Mulee in Kitengela and Ambrose Mutuku near Machakos Junction. At Ambrose’s home in Kitulu village, Machakos, police recovered police jungle fatigues believed to have been used in the raids, together with KSh 49,000 in cash.

Detectives discovered that both men had a criminal history. They had just walked free from Machakos Prison in December 2024.

The operation widened into Kantafu, Matungulu Sub-County, where four more suspects were cornered—Dominic Moenga Mwambi, Joseph Mamai, Gideon Nyaga Njeri, and Alex Mwaura Waweru. Police also seized three vehicles—registration numbers KDJ 066S, KCX 851Q, and KDP 825D—that were allegedly used as getaway cars.

The six men are now in custody as detectives complete processing. They are expected in court to face charges ranging from violent robbery to murder.

The arrests shed light on a disturbing trend: gangs disguising themselves as police to attack communities. Residents of Kajiado and beyond are asking—how many more groups like this are still out there? And who is supplying them with uniforms that make them look like law enforcers?
