Street signs celebrating President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and other leaders in Chuka town were defaced by unidentified people on Friday night.
Locals woke up to the ugly sign posts sprayed with black paint, fully concealing the street names.
The renaming of the streets after the leaders had sparked mixed reactions among the town’s residents leading to piling of hate against Uhuru and Ruto and thus defacing the road signs in a show of disgust and disapproval of the 2 ineffective, under performing, inept and heavily disliked leaders whose regime has promoted corruption and alleged theft of public resources via Eurobond, NYS and IFMIS.
Top companies have also collapsed under the watch of Uhuru with Uchumi supermarkets and Kenya Airways being the most notable. Bungoma based Pan African Paper Mills was also sold at a throw a way to the benefit of a prominent family with connections to Gathundu.
