JUBILEE PARTY vs MOUNT KENYA FOUNDATION INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES.
Our attention as Mt. Kenya residents is drawn to an advert appearing in today’s Daily Nation by Mt. Kenya Foundation. The full page advert tries to dispel their real intent in the region’s political arena. Their contestation is just but pure lies veiled in hypocrisy and vested interests.
This openly been pushed through a trial to create a parallel “political option” via independent candidates.
MKF purports to be paragon and a bastion of social good and good governance whilst at the same time backstabbing the President’s own letter and spirit. Nothing confirms this more than the fact MKF’s principal face, Peter Munga, own CEO, Dr. Moses Mwangi, is amongst the first of those going against the grain. He is a project among many others.
Also, isn’t Kembi Gitura a personal lawyer to Munga? Does MKF think we as Mount Kenya residents are so stupid to realize it or so information redundant to connect these dots? Or we are so poor to chart our own political future?
They should realize the fate of our region’s political destiny can’t be deliberated, assented or vetoed in boardrooms and hotel lounges by an elite few. Rather, that honour belongs to Wanjiku and her will MUST be respected. They should – instead of wasting their resources through adverts – go back to the drawing board to audit why Wanjiku overwhelmingly rejected their political “projects”. And seek redemption and reconciliation. Digging further will only antagonize Mt. Kenya region against them more.
MKF should realize our regional kingpin is and remains H. E. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. He has made his stand clear and without contradiction. Thus, they should play their cards above board and declare on whose interests they want to jeopardise the candidature of H. E. Kenyatta and why.
Also, they should be made privy to the fact that they are at liberty to support whoever they wish BUT they should come clean, declare their interests and go full hog whilst on it. Hiding behind an amorphous and a pseudo-charitable entity to advance political narratives that go against our region’s wishes isn’t only insidious but its grievous to our region’s capacity to negotiate and voice in Kenya’s political matrix. We are also privy to a historical fact that they were amongst us against H. E. Uhuru Kenyatta Presidential candidacy in 2013.
Choosing to front their so called parallel “clean” candidate. We won’t forget what we learnt. No! We won’t.
Thank You.
