The debate on vasectomy has generated heat for the last few days with the question being whether African Men are ready to embrace the same.
A group of medical doctors have come out to demystify the fears and stigma associated with the procedure and have given reasons why a man can consider vasectomy as an effective male family planning method
Dr. Ochieng says the procedure is a personal choice as it is the wearer of the shoe who knows where the shoe pinches. Men have various reasons to consider the same, for instance when child birth becomes disastrous fro a spouse.

He adds that sometime people use culture as euphemism to cover ignorance but if you take time to explain to them what it is, its potential befit and its impact then they can consider it.
