IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati has thrown in the towel and resigned. This follows the pressure he got from DP William Ruto who according to reliable sources, wants to put in place a friendly commission that will oversee the 2022 election where he is expected to be among the top contenders.
NB/ IEBC has denied Chebukati’s resignation as fake news. In their twitter account, they said that the letter circulating on social media is fake.
