According to reports, the former Laikipia East MP on January 17, met a number of youth from Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet counties to chart the way forward.
No journalist was allowed in to attend the closed-door meeting that was held at the Queen’s Garden, however, reports confirmed the party has received provisional certificate. President Uhuru sacked Kiunjuri on January 14. The former CS promised he would be around.
However, he has already run into headwinds after some party officials were arrested in Kajiado county on allegations were carrying out illegal registration. President Uhuru Kenyatta fired and replaced Kiunjuri immediately when he announced new Cabinet members on Tuesday, January 14.
Having walked on a tight thread as CS during his time, an emotional Kiunjuri told journalist he was not surprised with Uhuru’s decision to sack him.
