‘I will continue to launch projects,Uhuru should respect me”- Ruto

Date:

DP Ruto has vowed to continue launching projects even after President Uhuru publicly stated that he will take the lead since those he had trusted to do the job had resorted to politicking and initiating ghost projects.

DP Ruto has been criticized for launching of fake projects whivh stall immediately after being launched.

Speaking at a Church function in Kisii Ruto said nobody will stop him from undertaking his constitutional duties and asked Uhuru to respect him/his office.

Ruto also said honesty should guide the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) conversation.

He said leaders should also respect and accommodate divergent views in the process for it to be a success.

Dr Ruto further noted that everyone need to given a chance to air their views as BBI “is not just for politicians but every Kenyan.”

“We are building bridges of friendship and development; let us stop any underlying hypocrisies and unite the country,” he said.

He spoke on Sunday in Itierio, Kisii County, during the consecration of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya’s South West Diocese Bishop Reverend Joseph Ombasa.

The Deputy President argued that it was time politicians stopped thinking within the confines of their political parties and accept that “we belong to one country”.
