Cheap hatred against Raila in Mt Kenya will end in 2022, Kikuyus will vote Baba 100%, Uhuru is confident

One ground rule in our house is that we don’t gossip about relatives in the presence of our children. My wife knows how to pull that look when we are almost deviating from this rule. Here is the reason why.

Kabando wa Kabando has been vocal about Central Kenya’s (read Gema) deep love for Ruto. What Kabando and the Kikuyu Tangatanga team are not saying is that they will never support Raila Odinga. Uhuru is caught between what he believes is good for the country and a stubborn backyard.

Look at it this way. Your father disagrees with his brother over some trivial matters long before you are even born. You and your siblings then grow up to the sound of “Baba nani ni mchawi”. You are then warned never to visit his home or eat anything he offers you. Negative vibes about him, his wife and children become part of your family menu. When someone close to him dies, you hear your parents saying that he is responsible for the death.

Then as an adult, you try wisely to navigate through the negative rap with the family without offending your parents. One day your father announces that his elder brother is not a mchawi. That he is a good man who helped him when he was growing up. He tells you how his brother used to carry him on his back when his little legs couldn’t walk the long winding paths of village life.

“If anything happens to me, he will be responsible for your well being.” He concludes as his family stares in bewilderment.
That is exactly what is happening in Mt. Kenya region. This country is destroyed at dining tables before we destroy it at political rallies.
