Kisii Governor Hon Ongwae STATEMENT on Accident that KILLED 8 University Students

STATEMENT ON THE ETORA ACCIDENT
Last evening at about 8pm, an accident involving three vehicles occurred at Etora along the Kisii-Kilgoris road.
A lorry collided head on with one of the cars that was trying to overtake. During the accident, eight people including four men and four women lost their lives.

The casualties were rushed to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.

I take this opportunity to condole with the families of the deceased. It is indeed sad to lose lives through road carnage.
I stand with the families of the deceased at this difficult moment and wish the injured quick recovery. As a County government, we shall do everything possible to assist the affected families handle this tragedy.

I also call upon drivers to exercise caution while using our roads to avoid a recurrence of this regrettable incident.
