Former Youth Fund CEO Catherine Namuye was on Wednesday evening found dead in her apartment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.
Sources told the Star that the deceased was fired by the board on Friday 29, 2017.
Police have launched investigations into the incident.
Before her dismissal she was suspended from the board pending investigations into the loss of Sh180M at the fund.
Ms Namuye and former board chairman Bruce Adhiambo were last year charged with 12 counts of corruption in relation to the loss of Sh180 million of taxpayers’ money.
She was a very charming woman, May her soul rest in eternal peace.
