Nairobi senator Mike Sonko is currently holding talks with his friend President Uhuru over what insiders have termed as a protest against Mt Kenya’s preferential treatment of Hon Peter Kenneth.
Sonko has faced serious roadblocks erected by Mt Kenya mafia one of being the CID taking the senator round circles and not keen to clear him. At statehouse meeting Sonko is said to have been handed over the CID clearance certificate
It is highly expected that President Uhuru and his coterie of Mt Kenya advisors will prevail on Mike Sonko to go for Nairobi senate seat so as to let Hon Peter Kenneth face ODM’s Governor Evans Kidero.
Ealier today nominated MP hon Sakaja presented his nomination papers to Jubilee party and was cleared to run for Nairobi senate. It is highly expected that Sakaja will be pushed to pull out of the race in exchange for the position of Campaign manager and a nomintion slot or cabinet position.
“Let nobody cheat you that you will get a cabinet position, NASA is likely to win so better go for nomination first, besides Uhuru has already promised many politicians from Western a cabinet slot including Eugene Wamalwa and Ababu Namwamba”- a close Sakaja ally was quoted whispering to the youthful MP.
