Water CS Eugene Wamalwa has appointed Martin Wachira the new Athi Water Services chairman and Joshua Werunga as board member.
Wachira replaces Mwangi Kiunjuri who is the Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary.
In a press conference at Water offices on Thursday, the CS appointed Andrew Mkhisa Wanyonyi acting managing director of the National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation. Jackline Musyoki resigned from the post.
Stephene Nkabash will now chair the Tanaathi Water Services Board while the chairman of Tana Water Services Board will be Peter Kihara.
Wamalwa said Ali Baricho will serve Northern Water Service Board as chairman and Abdikadir Osman as chief executive officer.
Robert Watangwa has been appointed board member for the Lake Victoria North Water Service Board.
The CS also appointed Diana Muyoka and Nancy Chole as chairmen of the Rift Valley water services board.
Faith Waigwa and Winnie Sabila will sit in the Appeals board.
Five people were appointed members of the Regional Centre on Ground Water Resources Educational Training and Research in Eastern Africa.
They are:
1. Mary Khimilu (Chairperson)
2. Wilson Mili Lekomet (Ag Center Director)
3. Nick Biketi Malenya (Board Member)
4. Yego Kipruto Shadrack (Board Member)
5. Ikal Ang’elei (Board Member)
