This is how sad politics is. Jubilee Party released its machinery in Nyamira County to camp at Bogichora ward to campaign for the Jubilee Candidate. On Saturday alone, they raised over Sh1. 5 m for him to use on the last day to in mobilising voters. We call it Ogosera in Kisii. Most of the Jubilee guys included almost all Nyamira County gubernatorial losers-Hon Walter Nyambati, Hon Misati,Hon James Gesami, Hon Erneo Nyakiba, Woman Rep Jerusha Momanyi and a host of multi-millionaire professionals. Even CS Matiang’i visited the ward in the disguise of launching a health facility whose main aim was to campaign for Jubilee. Their job description was to use the win in Bogichora so as to weaken NASA and Governor John Nyagarama’s ODM led government.With all the millions they had, the chiefs and the government machinery , the Jubilee Candidate has just scored 267 votes….Yaani 267!267! The ODM candidate, George Abuga, has so far crossed the 3500 Mark…Lately, Jubilee has made a lot of noise in Nyamira County. The Bogichora ward is their moment of truth. It reminds me about a story in the bible where one moment we see Elijah standing victoriously on Mount Carmel and the next shriveled up under a juniper tree or hiding in a cave in deep despair complaining to God: “… I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too” (1 Kings 19:10).
