Thousands of Kanu supporters today denied deputy President William Ruto and his JAP convoy access to the Uhuru gardens in Kericho Town where he was to address a JAP rally.
They were singing the “Kanu Juu” slogan as they waved kanu placards as five Kanu branded choppers flew in the air for 30mins holding the DP hostage in a show of might.
The DP’S convoy had to make a u-turn and use an alternative route.the Dp watched in disbelief as drama unfolded. He was totally humiliated. The DP had just opened the Kericho Huduma Centre in the cbd.
Kanu supporters blocked the road even as police sirens hit the air, the surging crowd overpowered police. Kanu were team was to hold a rally at Moi Gardens five hundred metres away. Earlier riot police tried to stop the rally but in vain.
