RAILA IS A LUHYIA PRINCE, HE IS MORE LUHYIA THAN MOST LUHYIAS. HE IS THE GREAT GRANDSON OF NABONGO MUMIA OF THE WANGA KINGDOM.

When Luhyias say they want to unite, what we should ask them is why do they leave Raila out of their Luhyia unity. RAILA is eight generations down the line as the great grandson of Nabongo Mumia of the Wanga Kingdom. You can’t be more Luhyia than that. Raila Odinga is more Luhya than most Luhyas .
His wife Ida Odinga, is also a Luhya from Migori County. In a 1890 picture of Nabongo Mumia, the famed Wanga king, it shows Raila Odinga’s grandfather standing guard as aide de camp of Nabongo Mumia. This is an interesting detail and what most people don’t know is that in the Wanga Kingdom, Nabongo Mumia would only have close and very trusted relatives to be their aide de camp.
So for Luhyias who are now being told the lies that Raila is taking the Luhyia community for a ride, should know that Raila is one of them, and a Royalty among them, because he hails from that great Luhyia house. He is the great grandson of Nabongo who ruled Mumia kingdom in the last century.
