Just 3 days after Funyula MP, Hon Otwoma resigned from ODM vice chair seat, a colony of 2017 MP aspirants from Funyula Constituency today were in capitol hill consulting Raila.
They were led by Dr Oundo.

Raila being a grandson of Nabongo Mumia of Wanga, one wonders what the Jubilee allied Luyha politicians realy need with calls for UNITY among Luyha. Are there Luyhas who are more Luyha than others? Raila is a luyha by blood, may be not in practice BUT he is Luyha 100% no doubt!….. but then again its politics, its interests , its stupid!

Ahead of the 2007 election when Moody Awori had got the VP and cut links with LDP, he believed he would win the Funyula seat. Then Dr. Paul Otuoma, little known with no political mettle was identified by ODM, in fact, by Raila Odinga, to be the flag bearer of ODM for that election.
He was a nobody. He had no name recognition. He had no networks. But ODM, the movement that understood the ropes and had been around for so long in various names and formations – KPU, Ford, Ford Kenya, NDP, LDP – understood so well the terrain.
And Otuoma, little known with no political experience, but covered under the banner of ODM, thrashed a sitting Vice President.
Moody Awori never recovered.
The point to be made is that ODM outlives those who for little gains lose focus. ODM will outlive its current detractors.
It has done so before, it will now and shall in the future.
The ODM is strong.
