IDA ODINGA EXTENDS CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT MAGUFULI’S FAMILY:
It is with a heavy heart that I write this condolence message on behalf of my family, to Mama Janeth, her children, Bibi Suzana, the entire Magufuli family and the people of Tanzania on the passing of their husband, father and leader.
As a family, we have had the honour to host President John Pombe Magufuli at our rural home in Bondo and in Nairobi on several occasions. We have also had the honour to be hosted by him at their rural home in Chato and in Dar es Salaam.

We have lost more than a friend. The Magufulis have been there for us in good times and bad times and we have lost a family member.
I extend condolences and best wishes to H.E Samia Suluhu on whose shoulders the onerous task of guiding Tanzania now rests.
The days and years ahead are going to be very challenging to President Magufuli’s family, to the incoming president and the Tanzanian nation.
I pray that God grants them the strength, wisdom and will to overcome the challenges.
