BREAKING: Kenneth Matiba Cremation In Doubt As Hired Goons Destroy Langata Cemetery Crematorium

The cremation of late multiparty hero Kenneth Matiba that was set for Friday at Langata Cemetery is now in doubt.

This is after suspected hired goons on Thursday night destroyed parts of the crematorium that had been refurbished by Nairobi County Government.

The crematorium’s machine is now dysfunctional after its mortar was damaged by the goons just hours before the historical event.

According to sources it’s believed those believed those behind the attack have an ulterior of sabotaging Governor Mike Sonko’s administration to damage his reputation across the country.

Sonko has of late faced a backlash of criticism from the Nation Media Group with inside sources saying the stories are sponsored by Interior PS Karanja Kibicho who has declared total war against the government due to unknown differences.

On Wednesday Murang’a Senator and former Kiharu MP Irungu Kang’ata said the family had decided to obey Matiba’s wishes by cremating his body at the Lang’ata Crematorium.

“Mama Edith confirmed on Sunday that our hero Matiba will be cremated in Lang’ata on Friday according to his wishes, which the family felt it could not go against,” Kang’ata said yesterday.

He spoke in the company of the Government funeral committee and Matiba’s family members at Harambee House yesterday during a press briefing.

The committee members include Cabinet secretaries James Macharia (Transport), Fred Matiangi (Interior), and Joe Mucheru (ICT), Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, and family members among them Matiba’s son, Raymond.
