Police have linked recent clashes in the city between Jubilee and NASA supporters to the office of Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.
This comes after alleged “NASA supporters” clashed with Jubilee supporters in Nairobi’s CBD outside City Hall when the Jubilee supporters were leaving KICC grounds where President Uhuru Kenyatta was cleared by IEBC to defend his seat.
It has also been established that the hired goons who attempted to disrupt Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko’s rally on Thursday in Kasarani stadium and Githurai estate have close links to City Hall.
The goons who had printed Sonko’s campaign T-Shirts harassed members of the public around Kasarani Stadium when Sonko had turned up for his clearance by IEBC
It seems this is the only strategy employed by Kidero’s team ahead of the August 8 polls that is embroilled in a tough competition for Nairobi votes with Mike Sonko.
According to a latest opinion polls by Radio Africa Group Sonko would emerge victorious in the August 8 polls with 45% followed by Kidero and Peter Kenneth will be a distant third.
