Mike Sonko FIGHTS BACK Governor Kidero, urges Speaker to IGNORE Letter requesting Disciplinary Action

Sonko has written to the Speaker of the Senate Ekwe Ethuro urging him to ignore a previous letter by Kidero to the Speaker calling for disciplinary action against him over last week’s incident.

Sonko denies Kidero’s claims that he attempted to physically attack the Governor when he appeared before the Senate Public Accounts Committee.
COG Senate

The Council of Governors has now suspended appearance before Senate committees citing disrespect by a section of Senators.

CoG Chair Peter Munya says the recent violent altercation between Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko six days ago has led to the move.

Munya says Governors should be treated with decorum when they appear before Senate committees adding they want assurance on the same before they start honoring Senate summons again.
