Senator Sakaja comes to the rescue of depressed mother of the Kakamega twins

Date:

Angeline Omina, the mother of Melvies Imbaya, one of the so-called Kakamega twins, has spoken out after Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja came to her rescue.

Speaking after receiving goodies from the first time legislator, Omina brimmed with excitement, a stark contrast to the depressed figure he cut just a week ago.

She expressed her gratitude to Senator Sakaja.

“It is a great joy. It is only God that will pay him. I am at a loss for words. I have nothing but great joy (Ni furaha kuu, sina la kumlipa. Ni Mungu tu ndio atamlipa. Hata sina la kusema. Ni furaha kuu pekee yake), ” she said, bursting out in laughter.

The intervention by the legislator will help her rebuild her life following the collapse of her business.

In an interview a week ago with the Media Max-owned television station, Omina, who lives in a slum in Kawangware, appealed for help from well-wishers.

She has been battling depression after her biological daughter, Melvis Imbaya, reportedly refused to stay with her.

A DNA test found that she was the biological mother of Melvies and the girl she had been taking care of, Sharon, was not hers.

Well-wishers have promised to ensure that she is accorded the psycho-social support that she desperately needs.
