Isa Omari, Brian Shikuku Mudari and Bryan Templer Oyare were flushed from their hideouts in separate but coordinated operations within the coastal region, following 7 days of rigorous manhunt for perpetrators of the 3am daring robbery.
On the fateful morning, the deceased and her son were woken from their dead sleep by an unestablished number of home invaders, who forced entry into the abode by cutting the grills of the kitchen window.
Armed with crude weapons, the assailants knocked the son out before stabbing the home owner severally amidst desperate pleas not to take her dear life.
As she bled her life out, the cold-blooded attackers made away with a number of valuables including two Samsung phones, an iPad, 65″ TV set, sound system, and ATM cards whose PINs they had demanded.
Good Samaritans who heard the commotion and thronged the scene made frantic efforts to save her life by rushing her to Premier Hospital in Nyali, but she was declared dead on arrival.
DCI Kisauni took over the investigation, backed up by the Operation Support Unit (OSU) and Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau hawkshaws.
Today, a meticulous forensic analysis saw the three suspects arrested, in the course of which one of the stolen phones belonging to the deceased’s son and other crucial exhibits were recovered.
The investigation continues.
