Former Othaya Member of Parliament Mary Wambui has been appointed to be the Chairperson of the National Employment Authority for the next three years.
Wambui’s appointment was made by Labour Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani in a gazette notice dated October 14, 2019.
Mr. Edwin Jacob Abonyo, the widower of former Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso, is also among the latest individuals to land State appointments.
In a gazette notice, President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed Mr. Abonyo as a member of the State Corporations Advisory Committee.
Others appointed to the committee include Jeremiah Matagaro as the Chairman, Wanjiku Wakogi to be the Secretary and Winfred Kaburu, Cecil Kuyo, Cyrus Gituai, Tom Maina Macharia, Roselyn B. Tumpeyo and Gloria Ndekei as members.
The appointments take effect from October 14, 2019.
