PRESS STATEMENT ON THE COLD DEMISE OF JACOB JUMA.
ON BEHALF OF BUNGOMA COUNTY STUDENTS ASSOCIATION
We have been saddened by brutal killing of our son by “unknown ” assailants in the streets of Nairobi yesternight. Those who killed Juma might be celebrating for accomplishing their mission but we want to put them on notice. Why should you kill innocent Kenyans for being whistle blowers in grant mega corruption .
The bandits of our economy are at it again. The current regime has bent too low by failing to accord our brother the security he deserved. Why did the government hatched infamous plan to deny our brother the rights to use his armored limousine???? They have killed Jacob Juma but his spirit and ideas are still alive in us.
We highly condemn the archaic,barbaric,cantenkarous and stone age tactics by the duo economic bandits in handling their critics. I urge all those who believed in the ideals of our brother to continue advocating for the rights of our people. We will not be cowed or intimidated whatsoever by these desperate shenanigans.
When they came for the socialites I kept quiet because I was not a socialite. They then came for trade unionists I kept quiet because I was not a trade unionists. They still came for the Jews but I kept quiet because I was not a Jew. And finally they came for but there was no one remaining to say anything.
I call upon all residents of Bungoma county ,patriots, human rights activists etc, to bring normal business activities to a standstill until the government explains to us convincingly who killed Jacob Juma. Let’s close Busia border ,we must demand for explanation. If it is killing all of us then we are ready.
I prefer to live years as a cheetah than living 100 years as a chicken. The other day it was Mukabana, now it is Juma and tomorrow it is me and you. No mercy on the perpetrators of this heinous act.
Rest in peace buddy till we meet again!!!!!!
