There was drama in the streets of Nairobi as supporters of senator Mike Sonko escorted him to Jubilee Party headquarters in Pangani to present his nomination papers.
Mike Sonko who had complained that top statehouse operatives were frustrating his bid for Nairobi governor by influencing og government institutions- the CID took long to issue him with a certificate of good conduct.
Sonko in a clear warning shot directed at Peter Kenneth mobilised thousands of Nairobians to join him to Jubilee Party headquarters. Unlike Peter Kenneth whose celebrations was low key.
Sonko was accompanied by ‘Team Nairobi’ leaders Bishop Margaret Wanjiru and Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru, who also presented their papers on Friday afternoon.
