SK Macharia’s Son Cremated After Fatal Road Crash
John Macharia, the late son of Royal Media Services tycoon SK Macharia was cremated on Monday at Langata cemetery.
SK’s son was cremated secretly in accordance with his will. John passed on last week after a fatal road crash which police later said was self involving.
JM as he was popular known was driving his multi million shilling Porsche when he was involved in the accident but his girlfriend who was also in the car survived the crash.
A private requiem mass for the late wealthy businessman was held on Thursday morning in Gatanga, Muranga County. Only SK Macharia, his wife, family members and close friends to the family attended the event.
John joins the growing list of prominent people to be cemented in the country. The late multiparty hero Kenneth Matiba was also cremated last week after his death due to illness.
The late Nobel Peace Price winner Wangari Maathai, former MP Joab Omino are among the prominent Kenyans who have been cremated.
