Embattled Nakuru senator, Susan Kihika, has vowed to keep the covenant by backing Deputy President William Ruto in his 2022 presidential bid.
The lawmaker who was humiliated in her county on Monday, January 14, after being locked out of a presidential event has said she will stand by the country’s number two by hook and crook no matter the consequences.
In her facebook page Susan KIhika reiterated on her commitment is supporting the deputy president William Ruto ,saying that she would stick to the Jubilee party plan of Uhuru serving 10 years and then Ruto serving his 10 years.
“Am Keeping the Covenant.My Word is my Bond.Kumi; Kumi! Liwe Liwalo.Great day good people.”she posted
However the big guestion lies on whether president Kenyatta will honour his pledge remains in what has remained a riddle to many politicians seeking answers.
The political tide between the president and his deputy seems to have changed with Uhuru saying his is 2022 choice for the presidency will shock many. Even though this has been seen as a betrayal by the DP allies the coming together of Uhuru and Raila on Friday, March 9, 2018 has since changed the countries political landscape.
