Nobody can shake me over BBI – Uhuru condemns Ruto allies

Date:

President Uhuru Kenyatta has come out strongly in support of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) as he declared that his mission to unite the country was unstoppable.

Speaking in Salgaa, Nakuru County, where he launched a new cement factory, Uhuru hit out at critics as he reiterated that national unity was necessary for Kenya’s development.

“Nchi ikiwa na amani na umoja mengi yanaweza kutendeka, sio kila saa ni siasa. Nawaomba wenzangu muambie wanasiasa wacheni tufanye kazi kwanza,” Uhuru said.

“Tusiogope tukiwa pamoja. It is what is necessary for stability and to move this country forward. Na mimi sitatingizika.Hapo ndipo mimi nipo na nitasonga mbele na hiyo line,” Uhuru said.

The president declared that nothing would stop him from achieving his stated goal of uniting the country.

“On this journey, no one can stop me. I’ve said this before. On this journey we will get to our destination,” Uhuru noted as he wrapped up his speech.

He asked the politicians to avoid politics and instead work for Kenyans.

The President said the factory is in line with the government’s Big4 agenda in creating employment for Kenyans.

The President said his administration will continue to address market challenges facing local manufacturers.
