After years of struggling to reach people door to door due to a lack of resources and means of communication, the Abenlizo Community Empowerment Project has finally taken a significant step forward by officially launching its two media outlets, LTV Kenya News and Lakeside Radio 88.8 FM.
The project founder, Bernard Ojwang, announced the launch of LTV Kenya News and Lakeside Radio 88.8 FM in Kobala village in Karachuonyo. He explained that LTV Kenya News, which is derived from its sister radio station Lakeside Radio 88.8 FM, will help the project reach a wider audience and make their work easier.
Under the management of the Abenlizo Community Empowerment Project, LTV Kenya News and Lakeside Radio 88.8 FM will be airing stories and success stories to motivate the community. The founder emphasized the importance of using these media outlets to engage with the youth and provide them with a platform to debate and discuss important issues, particularly in the realm of politics.
During the launch event, which coincided with the handing over of food supplies to people affected by floods, Bernard Ojwang highlighted the significance of social media in today’s society. Recognizing that the project’s target audience is primarily young people who are active on social media, he stressed the importance of utilizing LTV Kenya News and Lakeside Radio 88.8 FM to engage with and empower the youth.
LTV Kenya News will serve as a platform for the youth to voice their opinions and engage in meaningful discussions, while Lakeside Radio 88.8 FM will focus on advocacy and news reporting. By leveraging these media outlets, the Abenlizo Community Empowerment Project aims to not only inform and educate the community but also inspire positive change and progress.
