This weekend was to be a pivot point for Jubilee. After facing intense criticism on how they have handled the higher commodities prices, Jubilee was desperate for that once chance, the opportunity to change the narrative and steer national dialogue away from the Unga prices.
That is why Uhuru’s trip to Italy was aggressively promoted; packaged as a first time in history, Uhuru’s supposed speech at the G7 leaders meeting was to beam live back in kenya. It’s was the first time an “African president will be addressing the G7 meeting” went the communique from Statehouse Nairobi, and that president was non other than Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.
The pictures of a man, who openly have criticized other leaders for what he calls “Kulamba matako ya wazungu” was to be distributed to all media houses and social media feeds, with illustrious headlines.
Of specific importance was that coveted handshake with the American President. Statehouse was desperate to quell rumors that President Uhuru kenyatta, who for reasons only known to the Kenyan intelligence community, though some speculate it has to do with money laundering investigations, has not been able to travel to America, would achieve double political mileage by his supporters seeing him shake the hands of DJT who earlier this year read the riotous order to the president during his 1 minute maiden call to Nairobi according to reliable sources.
The first knock to Jubilee PR was the revelation that the president was spending over Kshs 30 million per day in his stay in Italy. As this news filtered, sources say that statehouse ordered a moratorium on those traveling with president against sharing information on social media. People like Ambassador Khamati, who had shared pictures of drinks and liquor they were consuming in Italy had to pull down their posts.
And then on Saturday, it became clear that it wasn’t only Uhuru invited to Italy as his PR and Statehouse communications team had intimidated.
Leaders of the other African nation were there too. Jubilee had to change the narrative; the first of a kind address was no longer credible. They had lost the Propaganda war and the associated narrative.
And so another strategy had to be implemented. That is the genesis of the Vandalized SGR news article.
Jubilee has this evening manufactured some Propaganda to try and divide Kenyans through their known stereotypical thinking and profiling. This propaganda too has been met head-on by galant Kenyans who are not ready to be cheated again.
How could Uhuru Kenyatta, who for three years have been shouting how Wazungus are bad to anyone who care to listen expect to hoodwink us with a few pictures with the same Wazungus?
Kenyans have endured 4.5 tough years under Jubilee that no picture or handshake can make them change their mind about their desire to and effect change on 8/8/17.
As President Uhuru will be carrying the portraits of his picture with DJT and other world leaders to Gatundu, Kenyans will be joining together with the new NASA government to grow our economy, create jobs, lower the cost of living, and transfer wealth to all Kenyans.
