Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has once again offered his support to the sports fraternity after he ferried thousands of football fans to Machakos County to watch the CECAFA finals pitting Kenya against Zanzibar.

Sonko has dispatched over 80 buses to transport Nairobi residents to Machakos to watch the CECAFA finals at the Kenyatta stadium and also ferry back the football fans.

The governor in addition has promised the Harambee Stars players Sh1 million if they clinch the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.

The winner of the regional trophy will also pocket Sh3 million while runners-up and third finishers go home with Sh2 million and Sh1 million respectively.

The tie will be preceded by the third place playoff pitting Uganda against Burundi.
