Trident insurance on the spot over non payment of accident claims

A taxi driver is accusing Trident Insurance of mishandling his claim for vehicle repairs after a road accident three months ago.

The insurer authorized the repairs on October 22, 2024 and promised to release the vehicle within 12 days but two months later the vehicle remains at the garage.

The garage claims they haven’t been paid for the repairs and every time the vehicle owner visits, Trident Insurance promises him that the issue will be resolved “next week” which has slowly turned into months.

“I want to expose something about Trident Insurance Kenya. My vehicle was involved in an accident about three months ago and I immediately reported it to them.

The insurance authorized the repairs and assured me the work would be completed within 12 days. I was supposed to pick up my vehicle after that.

 

However, two months later, the situation has remained unchanged. Every time I go to the garage, I’m told they haven’t been paid, and the repairs are still pending.

 

Trident keeps promising me that the issue will be resolved, but nothing happens.

 

I’ve been told several times that I’ll be able to pick up the vehicle next week, but that next week has turned into months. I’m really depressed because I rely on my vehicle for my taxi business, and I have a loan to pay.

 

On top of that, I have a family to take care of, and now I can’t even meet their basic needs. I’m asking for help because this is affecting my life.”

 

On top of that below is another complain;

“Trident Insurance: Kenya’s most fraudulent insurance company. My Client signed a Discharge Voucher last November.

Yesterday, after months of a cat-and-mouse game, she received 4 cheques, all postdated, in purported settlement of her claim in instalments running up to April 2024.” Someone posted

They also lead in the list of top insurance company with non-payment of complaints.

Lakini sometimes it falls on deaf ears! Especially if you find a client anatumia Trident and you advice them from experience, that Trident hardly pays claims. It becomes a real time war wueh! Trident clients cannot be convinced against cheap and we all know cheap is expensive!

Had to return to Android garage twice after trips to Android????

The painting job on the bumper still has old marks from the old bumper then you insist it’s new.
