Last night top statehouse operatives popped a champaign to celebrate a kind of break though in Malindi, finally a Jubilee road show and public rally attracted a good crowd. Its been frustrating especially last weekend when locals boycotted Hon Duale led meetings.
It is not clear what magic Sonko is using but observers point out at the fat brown envelopes, use of local artists and also careful messaging and targeting location by location- Nyumba Kumi type of campaigning.
Senator Sonko took to Facebook to announce the breakthrough:>>
“Na Bado tunaenda village to village, door to door usiku tukinyenyekea na kuomba watu watoke kwa upinzani waingie kwa serikali. Alafu munasema ati Malindi ni ODM ZONE mutashangaa tarehe saba. Nani anataka tubet? Hapa ni Ganda village, Ganda ward na Bado tunaendelea kugeuza ground”. Sonko bragged!
