For those who are questioning Generali Ababu Namwamba’s silence. I see nothing wrong when Ababu decides to take a Sabbatical leave. He has actually done alot for the party but it seems some people do not appreciate his efforts. Ababu was once a hero within the ODM circles when he put his own life on the line as he rebuked the Kibaki Presidency and swore in the name of Raila Odinga. He has ever since remained a hero as he remained compliant follower with no ambitions to lead.
No one ever questioned Ababu’s loyalty, until he declared that he wanted to be the ODM SG. The moment he declared for the SG post, the ferocity of the war that was waged against him chilled even my very own soul. What about him now? Kasarani elections were disrupted by the famous Men In Black, the very same men we see daily walking around top Party leadership because Ababu was poised to win by landslide against party mafia. So shameful.
Is this the reward ODM mafia can offer to Hon Ababu Namwamba?! The man who was ready to die for him!
No sooner had Generali settled in the office of SG, anither war was waged on him. The war that was again orchestrated by Raila himself. The ODM PMs in the Public Accounts Committee were instructed to plant charges of bribery on Ababu and the idea was to eject him from PAC and then turn around and argue that the Party cannot have a corrupt SG.
Thank God for the recording of Hon Samuel Arama while confessing to Raila that him alongside other PAC members he named were the corrupt ones. Only that recording helped Hon Ababu Namwamba to escape the corrupt charges with his integrity intact. If this is how you can treat your soldiers, then am sorry because I don’t see nor even imagine of having such ODM mafia in Statehouse!
