The Nation story on Jimmy Wanjigi is skewed and written subjectively with an intention to drag the billionare businessman in the mud over his apparent association with NASA.
From the tone, the attitude, story framing and the diction, it’s evident what the Nation Team wanted to achieve with the story. Exactly what Cambridge Analytica would wish to score. Smear Wanjigi with mud and poke holes into his reputation and eventually paint the whole NASA coalition as a cartel.
Evidently, Nation is playing to the tune of a certain Jubilee quarter that has decided to politically profile Wanjigi hoping he will give-in and halt his strategic and logistical support to NASA. This is the same group that has resulted to erecting banners and billboards bearing the businessman’s name and the photos of NASA principals along busy city streets.
Worthy to note too, for the first time the Aga Khan owned media group (a status-quo mouth piece) has afforded the courage to write a feature about Wanjigi yet the businessman has been involved in political related operations for more than two decades now. Tells a lot.
But since he’s supporting NASA this time, a hyped ‘investigative” had to come through.
Interestingly, no one at Nation had the balls to put his by-line on the article. The writer(s) is/are not willing to stand by this story if at all the piece factual and objective.
I’m keenly waiting to read stories on David Lagat, Ndung’u of Sportpesa, Joshua Chepkwony, That KRA CEO or even those billionaire “wheeler dealers” funding Jubilee.
He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

Meanwhile remember when Tony Gachoka was a constant guest on KTN’s Jeff Koinange Life? remember how he talked about Jimmy Wanjigi? Its now being rumoured that the malicious stories running on Nation Media on Jimmy Wanjigi were allegedly authored by a statehouse official with Gachoka playing the source.
