It was never about understanding the concept of dry port. That is elementary stuff.
Far from it, it was about exposing, condemning and revolting on the planned disenfranchisement and continued marginalization of the people of the coast who depend on the resources generated by the Port of Mombasa.
By transfering port operations to Naivasha, the Jubilee administration is literally robbing a birthright of the coastals and this is something DP Ruto will be told in black and white.
By relocating the entire logistical infrastructure by KPA in Mombasa to a privately owned inland dry-port in Naivasha, Jubilee leaders are perpetuating impoverishment of the people of Mombasa and beyond.
All business and resources that are generated by cargo handling, transportation, and warehousing of imports and exports which are all multibillion businesses on which hundreds of thousands Coastal people are directly and indirectly dependent on.
History will judge Jubilee very harshly.
