ODM legislators from Western Region have addressed a press conference at CORD Secretariat and dismissed a statement attributed to ODM Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba in which he bitterly complains about being undermined within the party.
At the same time, ODM Professionals from Western are at this moment congregating at Lillian Towers (Nairobi Safari Club) to address a press conference in response to statements by Hon Ababu Namwamba at Lilian Towers from 3.30pm.
Earlier, led by the Busia County Women Representative Hon Florence Mutua who strongly condemned the actions by Hon Namwamba, the Western Kenya ODM MPs also announced that;
1. The ODM Party Leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga will visit each branch of ODM in Western Kenya and he shall be hosted by branch Chairpersons.
2. That all ODM Party officials to be fully included and involved in the affairs of the Party Leader.
3. That ODM remains a strong national party and that Western MPs reiterate their commitment to the party and the Party Leader.
4. That Western MPs unequivocally support the 2017 bid of Raila Odinga for President.
