HAPPENING NOW: Cord leaders led by Raila odinga, Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho make a grand walk to the IEBC offices to demand answers why the institution haven’t met the deadlines they had in verifying the over 1.6 million okoa Kenya signatures.
Last month IEBC promised to verify the signatures before March 2016, two weeks later no communication has been recived at the CORD secretariat. It is alleged that IEBC is waiting for direction from Statehouse operatives. The body mandated to carry out the 2017 general election is allegedly highly compromised, a puppet of the executive.
It was leaked to this writer that the IEBC commissioners will absent themselves from office for they have no valid reason to offer CORD luminaries, Statehouse is yet to give direction and because of fear not to contradict the powers that be the commissioners will keep off.– a source at IEBC told this writer.
Newly elected ODM Malindi MP was in the forefront, a good sign that he is ready for national assignment!
