Chelsea’s central defender David Luiz, 32, is set to complete a stunning £8million move from Chelsea after agreeing a two-year contract worth around £120,000-a-week.
ARSENAL have taken their summer spending spree to £141million with the signings of David Luiz and Kieran Tierney subject to medicals.
Yet they have still managed to stay within their £45m budget thanks to carefully structured repayment arrangements and player sales.
And they haven’t even increased their annual wage bill after fretting all summer about breaking financial fair play rules.
And Scottish international Tierney is finally on his way to the Emirates after Celtic accepted a £25million bid for their 22-year-old left-back.
The Gunners have already smashed their club record transfer fee to sign £72million Nicolas Pepe from Lille and have also paid £27million for William Saliba, £6million for Gabriel Martinelli and a £3million loan fee for Dani Ceballos.
But they are only paying £20million this year for Pepe and £6million for Saliba, who has been allowed to stay at St.Etienne on loan for the forthcoming season.
