Here is a post by Silas Jakakimba regarding his application to ODM Party for nomination to EALA that has since gone viral on social media.
ON THE EALA NOMINATIONS DEBATE:
———————————————————-
After viewing the body of a relative at nearby St. Camila’s Mortuary, we retreat for lunch at Supanova Hotel in Sori-Karungu where I bump into Paparazzis covering Suba South repeat nominations and they shoot straight seeking my opinion on EALA nominations coming up for tomorrow Thursday 11th. They ask me about the trending EALA topic & among other questions, ‘… if you go to Arusha, what agenda will you champion that will benefit Kenyan youths?
My response:
“The Orange Democratic Movement Party has a brimming reservoire of deep intellectuals from the pool of applicants that submitted their applications through Kenya Parliament. Whereas I will be honoured to represent the Party and Nation at EALA, I am not the only one neither is the seat singularly marked for young folks.
We expect that anyone who gets the privilege to represent the Party at EALA will not only push harder for legislations that would enhance cross-border businesses and opportunities for youths, but also, and importantly among other issues, fight for the dream of full regional integration and prime our country interests as integral.
That person does not necessarily have to be Silas Jakakimba but if I happen to be amongst the EALA team after tomorrow’s nominations, we will deliver to Party and Country if ultimately elected.
However, if Silas Jakakimba’s name does not come up, we are still here to, as always, fully support the Party and its leadership and, fiercely fight for our single-most important agenda of the moment – pushing for Kenya’s redemption, MABADILIKO, come August 8th 2017 via massive endorsement of Raila Amolo Odinga as Kenya’s FIFTH.”

Separately, I have monitored the trends on this issue as young democrats lent their voices online and I must say from the bottom of my Heart – I am honestly overwhelmed by the same and yes – I do appreciate ALL your support, the Future remains OURS!
Signed.
