I went to the Kenyatta National Hospital today. I will spare you the niceties and go straight to the point.
This country is fucked up, that’s right, this country is fucked up. We cannot have critically ill patients who have been brought in on life support queuing to be admitted for intensive care stabilization. I mean, who even does that? What’s the name of this country, again?
Your spine gets cracked by a boda boda guy in Njiru and an ambulance is summoned to run on the wrong lane screaming red danger to get you into ICU and when you think you have barely made it to the casualty department of the largest referral hospital in the land you get turned back because you are not the only one needing critical care and you have to join the queue? What bullshit is that?
If you knew you were going to die at the entrance of help would you even have summoned an ambulance from halfway around the world?
Listen here, all you Kenyans who think the nurses strike does not affect you, and so are immune to it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the day you’ll get chocked by a fish-bone and you’ll need an ambulance to check on your door at the sound of a horn is the day you’ll know shit has hit the fan.
Just as I was watching someone stare death in the face some brainless Kenyans were on the Supreme Court gate banging the metallic grills asking for the Chief Justice to resign because their ethnic god is facing a bottomless political abyss. Wait until that police horse runs one of them over and they have to be stretchered to the Kenyatta Hospital for critical care ndio watajua Uhuru hawajui.
They will start appealing for mchango here and there to offset their bills while their ethnic god who sent them to that gate would be balling in State House buying cars to those who already have the means to acquire one, and you say Uhuru Kenyatta is drunk? You, my friend, is the one high on illegal supply.
You people are sick in the head, all of you. I don’t care which tribe that woman who was screaming for medical help comes from and it doesn’t matter; if you aren’t going to stand up for the public health-care system to run again as it used to, then we can all as well auction this country and be left to our own devises, officially.
This country is going down.
