Bomet Senator Hon Wilfred Lesan was humiliated in Sigor trading center, Bomet as he waived to the residents while driving who instead demanded him to alight from his car and great residents- it turned out to be a lecture session by traders.
The traders and other enraged members of the public put Hon Lesan to task accusing him of being non-performer and undermining devolution agenda. Police officers had to fire in the air to scare away youths who were baying for his blood. Hon Lesan was on his way from from Kaboso area.
The Residents demanded to know why Jubilee Government had sidelined the South Rift in implementing Pre-Elections promises yet they had voted overwhelmingly to the ruling party. The angry residents gave him message to deliver to DP Ruto; ”..that he no longer has support from the region unless Jubilee fulfils pledges contained in the 2013 manifesto.
Hon Lesani was told to his face that KANU’s Nick Salat will be voted in 2017 unless he shows commitment to devolution and stop following DP Ruto blindly.
